Users & Teams

User Types

There are five basic levels at which a user can exist within the Apiboost ecosystem:

  1. Public: A blanket term referring to anyone including anonymous/without a login

  2. Developer: Any authenticated user that isn’t site staff is considered a developer

  3. Team Member: Specific developers who belong to one or more teams

  4. Team Admin: Developers who either own, or have admin permissions to one or more teams, and

  5. Site Staff: Admins, Product Owners, etc. who can make changes to the site’s content or appearance.

This section focuses primarily on the individual Developers and those belonging to Teams.

Working in Teams

As the name suggests, developers may collaborate and create shared apps with others. Teams are private spaces, viewable only to their members, with each having its own individual admin/member hierarchy. Team admins are generally responsible for creating and curating apps, and managing the team, whether it’s adding/removing members or managing their access. Team members only get shared access to the apps.
